The Gender Equality Fund Project is a transformative initiative aimed at advancing gender equality in Health through Accountability and Leadership.
The project was launched in 2024 by The Global Fund with the support of ALMA [ the African Leaders Malaria Alliance] and will be implementing in 6 African Countries.
(Uganda, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Nigeria, Mozambique and Zambia)
Objectives
To Strengthen the scorecard accountability mechanism to address gender-related risk factors and barriers to health services
To support female-led malaria youth corps to conduct advocacy and promote gender-transformative malaria policies and programming

Knowledge and Awareness
Leverage on community dialogues to further identify and address the gender-related barriers to malaria elimination.
Universal Health Care Advocacy
Access to quality healthcare being a Human Right regardless of gender or background, we work to not only raise awareness but also advocate for policy changes in collaboration with concerned partners and key stakeholders for Universal Health Care.
Youth and Community Engagement
With a strong network of Youth Regional representatives who are rooted in their communities; engaging their peers, organising locally and involving fellow Community Leads all over the country, we continue to dialogue and inform our next implementation activities to meet our gender equality objectives.
